Cat Body Language Ears

As this famous quote by Mary implies, cats work on their own agenda, not paying much attention to their owner provided they have clean litter, food, and water. While cats can behave in odd manners at times making it difficult to figure out what the cat wants, discerning what a cat is feeling is not too difficult if you watch their body language.
 
 
The body language of the ears and the tail.
 
 
In this post we’ll look at the ears. While they are not as expressive as the cat’s tail, I can get a an instant read what my cat is feeling by looking at his ears. Below is a collage that shows three “ear” messages that are pretty clear.  Wouldn’t you agree?
