Here is a video I created using photos and a video my business partner took of her kitty named Maude:
This was created almost effortlessly with Animoto. I learned about Animoto at a marketing event, and I’ve been using it ever since.
Animoto has received numerous coveted awards for it’s interface, and equally lumonous businesses have used it. And no wonder – it is the quickest, easiest way to create eye-popping beautiful videos with almost NO effort.
You can create 30 second videos for free at Animoto. At the time of this writing (fall 2013) you can create longer videos for $5.00 a month or $30.00 a year. Then there’s the pro package, with additional perks like super high definition and no ANIMOTO branding so your secret isn’t revealed. That is $39.00 a month or $247.00 a year.
Let me help you appreciate what Animoto has to offer:
You can easily add text to your videos that appears in a beautiful fashion when published. Not a lot of room, but enough to get your point across!
You have over 30 themes to pick from. You might have fewer themes to choose from with lower priced or free packages, but still, it is a value you can’t beat. – or CREATE!
What is a video without music? Each theme comes with a music track, but you can change that. Animoto provides stock music you can use ROYALTY FREE in your videos. What does that mean? It means you can post your video with music and not be violating any copyright privileges.
You can easily upload photos of your own, or choose from Animoto’s selection. Their selection isn’t huge – but I’ve provided sources of cat images in this blog, and of course, you’ll want to upload photos of your kitty.
Further, you can add VIDEOS within the Animoto video. This is where the WOW factor really kicks in. The videos are limited to ten second segments, but you can add lots and lots of segments. Animoto provides some videos you can incorporate. But you can create your own videos with your smart phone and upload those!
Here is a 5 page excerpt of a 33 page workbook on creating videos from a workshop I delivered couple of years ago. Unlike this post, it has images of the steps I talk about in this post. Feel free to download.
If you give Animoto a whirl and create a video of your kitty, please send me the link. I’d love to see it and perhaps even include it in a post on this site! They have lovely holiday templates – why not consider creating a holiday ecard featuring you and your kitty to share with family and friends – and save some money on greeting cards?
Have a ball!
